Welcome to my personal digital garden.
I’m Patrick — emergency medicine physician, homelab tinkerer, watercolor painter. This site exists because I want one place to capture what I learn, build, and experiment with. At the intersection of clinical medicine, self-hosted infrastructure, AI tooling, and design.
Why a garden, not a blog
Traditional blogs expect regular, finished posts. A garden allows thoughts to mature over time — posts get updated, extended, corrected. That matches how I actually work.
What’s coming
- Notes from the emergency department, where clinically relevant and privacy-safe
- Field reports from the homelab (Proxmox, Ansible, GitLab CI, Paperless-ngx)
- Experiments with local language models and agent workflows
- Occasionally something about watercolor pigments and their chemistry
Whether anyone cares remains to be seen. I write primarily because writing helps me think.
